Nice work on an ugly old bird but an important gap in RAF WW2 bomber models.

Yes, I've been wanting one of these too. Looking good so far. Looks like a nice kit. What is your opinion so far Dan?

Going together really well. Dry fit shows three main sub sections of the wings, cockpit and tail fit well. Just had to sand seems no filer yet. Impressed. Bought the Eduard canopy mask plenty of glass.

I have very fond memories of building a Whitley airfix kit with my Dad when I was seven. It was my first real kit. I will watch this with interest.

Bit annoyed missed some seems but we live and learn. Plus I knocked off and lost one of those pointy things off the tail. Battle damage!

Finished. But the bloody nose turret just does not fit! Ruins the model. Not sanding the thing down as it is fragile and do not want to break it!

Great Whitley and great work! Not being an expert on Whitleys I can not see anything wrong with the nose turret 🙂

Dan Cook
Thanks Thomas. The piece joining the turret to the plane keeps in place on top does not fit quite right. There is a gap at the bottom. Gave it to my father in law and he loved it so not that bothered now.
