The BT-7 was the last of the Bystrokhodny tank (BT) series of Russian fast tanks that were produced in large numbers between 1935 and 1940. It was lightly armored, but reasonably well-armed for the time, and had much better mobility than other contemporary tank designs. An obvious derivative of the Christie M1931, the BT-7 was a direct predecessor of the well-known T-34 medium tank, which in 1940 replaced all of the Soviet fast, infantry and medium tanks then in service.
I saw a video on the Tamiya 1:35 BT-7 tank model 1937 and just had to try this one. It is very well designed with great fit. Nice detail and easy to build, I just went nuts with the battle damage possibilities.
