Claudiu, I am having a whole rethink about 1/72 scale, as it is becoming evident there is a massive amount of detail in them now than ever before, and this example only goes to reinforcing that change of attitude.:-/

Thank you, the detailing is indeed nice for a pretty small scale. That being said, my jaw drops at the amount of details on larger scale stuff like 1/32 or 1/35, I couldn't even fathom being able to tackle that kind of complexity!

nice job! (there are some differences between the SA 332 and the SA 330 (IAR 330) but this looks great! keep up the great work!

Album info

I was initially looking for the Airfix AS330 to convert to an IAR330 SOCAT, a helicopter I used to see as a kid, but the kit wasn't available and I stumbled upon this one. I will attempt to make a fictional IAR332 in the Romanian Air Force.

By comparison, the 332 has a longer fuselage than the 330 by about 2m and is slightly shorter in height. The license to build the 330 was given to Romania in 1974, and they were built by Constructii Aeronautice Ghimbav Brasov.
