As for adjustments - I am going to leave the vortex generators alone, I guess I am not crazy enough to apply the SH etched ones. There is 95 of them on the fret (perhaps some of them are spares...).
As you probably already noticed, I am scratchbuilding leading edge slats in open position.
I recall reading somewhere that on Sabre Dogs slats were sometimes fixed with a tape in retracted position to prevent freezing and/or dirt coming in. But truth is, that apart from a few museum machines I have never seen a photo of a parked F-86D/L with slats retracted. So I want my model to look "natural".
Realistically, I am going to spend most of my willpower on this
, so apart from that, no superdetailing will take place.
The rocket "drawer" will remain closed (even though it's often seen lowered on photos, but far from always), perhaps I will add a small bit of stuff to cockpit.
I will have to rivet the whole thing, even though I hate riveting, on this airplane it could be hardly ignored. I am not going to add each and every rivet though - I will try to go by the photos and add just those more prominent lines.
