Nice result! Build this kit ages ago and really need to get another one. The model is lost, but atm i am using the stand for my rb-66 destroyer. 🙂

Whooo... I've got this one in my stash as well and a plan for including it in my Miyazaki project. I'd love to see some WIP pics.

Thank you for the nice comments, it was a quick build and I totally forgot to capture the progress .. and I regret it!
I uploaded the only 2 WIP pics I got.

Thanks Cortex. You'll be punished for that! your penitence is to build such another ship, taking pics of the WIP at any step! 😉 You've... 3 days! tick-tock-tick-tock... LOL

Did you paint the figures? They usually terrify me and I bury them under as many leftover sprues as possible... 😉

@Philippe, 😄 best punishment ever, I have a T-34 on the bench right now and I will remember to take pics.

@Greg, lol no I didn't paint them because I have zero experience with figures and no suitable brush at the time. I though the figures were small and they won't look good at all.

@Thomas, thank you .. there are couple of model kits for the Gunship out there, too bad there is no larger scale.

Thomas... you could always scratch build one in 1:144. I don't think it would be too hard for a talented guy like you.

Album info

Amazing kit, had fun building it, parts are clean and fit really well.
I primed the model with Alclad Black Primer, then sprayed a layer of Alclad Gold Titanium.

Then coated it with hairspray as I had plan to chip it after painting the main color which as Vallejo Model Color 70915: Deep Yellow, but this plan didn't work because the paint was very thick, almost like paste.
No matter how I tried to thin down the paint it remained hard to spray, I used Vallejo Airbrush Thinner and Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver.

I ended up laying a lot of coats to even out the paintjob, and I decided not do any chipping to avoid damaging the model.
