The Gerat truck was mainly a cargo truck, in this project I assumed that in the Ardennes Germans were in a situation where they decided to put a AA Flak on this truck and push it closer to front to provide cover fro ground forces as the lacked air support in this operations.
This also explains why the gun and truck has different camo schemes.
The crew added plates in the rear sides to protect the ammo storage .. but in reality they also hide a flaw in the tracks (tracks of older Italeri kit will have a gap after assembly).
I later added jerry cans and also mp-40 beside the driver seat.
Generally, it was a very fun project, truck kit was nicely detailed and the Tamiya Flak kit was fun to put together.
