Wow! This is an old moulded kit. The fit is horrible.
Elevators aren't even height either side of the fuselage, the cockpit is two blobs - supposedly heads, and the cowls are short-shot...

I know this kit very well. I started it, I build interior from scratch, but I have not managed to finish it. I'm sure you're will doing better. It looks very good so far. keep it up!

This has to be one of the worst molded kits! The mounting slots for the wings were not the same left to right... Every seem has needed filler and sanding.

Yes, it's a simple and hard kit. In addition to the cockpit and landing light, I had to reconstruct the cowlings, engines and wheel bays:

But worst was adjust the cockpit to the fuselage. Finally I had to make a vacuum cockpit:

But still, I'm still having adjustment problems. Something I did wrong and now I have the project on hold. Also, I have to find a way to make cockpit studs:

Sorry for the off-topic and good luck!

Nice work on the gear bay. I wish I had done that before I closed them up and mounted them to the wings... Just going to keep this a "simple" build!

cuajete, that beauty deserves an album😉
nice job Gordon, specially since everybody is speaking so "nicely" about this kit 🙂

Thank you Gordon, don't worry. So you save yourself pain, XD
Well done so far😉 👍

Spanjaard, thanks, but now this project is at a standstill. I keep my hopes in the new KP kit 🙂

Got a couple of runs in the gloss black... Will let it set for a few days, sand them out and then give it another light spray....

Like that aircraft a lot, such great lines! Following

Decalling complete. I think I put the fuselage trim line a little low. And the Union Jack seems a little big...

I think that I not see any problem, Gordon😉

Lost one of the elevators, had to scratchbuild a new one from plasticard. Didn't turn out too bad.
After looking at various pictures and drawings, decided to add a pitot tube on the right wing, and balance horns on the control surfaces. I think I made them a little overscale...

The canopy is lacking visible frames, so I tried using decals to represent them. Turned out pretty good.

The canopy frames are looking very good, thin and in accurate Splendid job, Gordon!

Thank you Roland, Bob, and spanjaard!
Definately a kit that needs a little "work"! I would like to see the new KP kit.
There are a couple things I could have done better, but the end result isn't too bad.
