This is an interesting build. There is a lot to go into the fuselage (one side...) BEFORE the two halves are glued together... Could be delicate or could be interesting or something else...

I test fit some of the sub assemblies and they can be placed AFTER the fuselage is put together - I hope! 🙂

The fuselage went together ok, There were two parts the assembly instructions said place in the fuselage AFTER assembly but I could not see that working without breaking something. 1) a cowling for the upper rear gun emplacement, and 2) the upper rear gun platform. Gluing them to the one side before fuselage out together made more sense and worked out. The lower rear gun platform will fit in nicely now after fuselage assembly.

Ok, so sometimes mistakes are made....
1. I painted the torpedo in silver, but I started out mixing the wrong thinner with the paint and it congealed in the air brush cup (quickly rectified without damage). I had even wrote on the bottle the proper thinner to use earlier! (In my defence I had not used that paint for a few months...) I plan to re paint the torpedo cap and highlight the panel lines and mounting bracket.
2. I should have attached the main cockpit canopy BEFORE the fuselage was assembled. Test fitting showed it was a difficult fit, but I sanded the canopy a little and thought I could do it... Well a little too much force and the canopy split in two. This made it EASIER to assemble! Now I worry about taking off the masking when the major painting etc is done...
Enjoyable never the less.

Lol, at least you kept a sense of humour through all of this. I am sure it will all work out.

Bad luck, I have done both of those myself. There is a replacement (corrected) canopy available. Not easy to get, but it's there. Savoia S.79 Sparviero Vacufo..Set (MH Models K72067, 1:72)

The S.79 is progressing slowly but surely. Plastic parts on the sprue disappear
and become an aircraft. The instructions are guidelines but with test fitting
the parts themselves tell me the order of assembly.
It becomes what it is supposed to be.

Just finished camo painting. Need to improve on my air brush painting if I wanted to make it look like the box art, but happy with results. There is a visible crack in the canopy but I did not make it worse when I took the tape off. I will see if pledge can improve it a little. LOOKING forward to decals and weathering...

You know your finished "weathering" when you start breaking the small parts off the model! New pictures later today

She's a beauty, as I suspected, it all worked out pretty well in the end.

I'm building the bomber version. No torpedos for me, but I prefer in this way.
