Just wonderful Pierre, 🙂 The 'squiggle' lines must have taken ages to do freehand and they look most effective mate. :-0
I am envious of your paint job. 👍

ME TOO. !!! I should have done a lot of practice before I painted mine really, as I am still in two minds as to what to do about the paint job on my Uhu, because I am still not happy with the result, no matter how much work I am doing to "Rescue" it. 🙁

I understand you Kerry, and I think its the good thing to do. Try and try again to find how to obtain the result you are looking for mate ! Cheers.

Pierre, I may be ok at gluing bits together, but I totally agree with you about the painting practice aspect, as it was always one thing I ran into problems with.🙁 "The paint job". :-/
Cheers my friend. 🙂

I just looked at the pictures of the paint on the He 219...I think the builder used a very expensive airbrush and the deepest type of black magic

I agree the paint job on some of the UHUs is not an easy thing to do. Of course the airbrush type and quality is very important too. Even using an evolution I'm not able to do a free hand camo in 72ns scale. Kerry I was thinking in a solution for you, but not sure it will work mate: Using a pirograf, try to make masks with paper, then place the mask using the patafix. Do a try on an old model first.....😉

That is a brilliant idea Pierre, and it will guarantee the soft edges I am looking for.!!!
Just when I was losing all ideas and hope, along comes the magic wand kid. 🙂
Cheers mate and thank you. 🙂 🙂
It will be tedious work, but I am already imagining the results. 👍

I'm happy you will try this Kerry😉 Do a test using a small paper just to check if this concept is valid or not, I've never tried this before. Cheers.

I saw his method before in Finescale magazine... A sheet of paper, kept at a certain distance from the model, and you spray through the opening. By readjusting the position of the paper while spraying you can vary the form of the blotches. Never tried this myself either... but it comes to mind... trick lies in the distance and subtle repositioning of the sheet...

It is bound to work Pierre, as the concept in my minds eye says it is a most logical application (Now I'm sounding like Mr Spock. lol) but the way it sounds is just so simple in theory, and I will be happy to give it a dammed good go mate. 🙂 👍

That's very good Kerry, I can't wait to see the result mate😉 If you want I can try also and show you the result. Cheers.
