Thx Guy! I orientated myself as much as it was possible on pictures of the original, I think it is a typical example of a late-war beat up and overpainted 109 with replaced panels/rudder in different colors. I included pictures of the original.

I see what you mean, your model is incredibly similar to the one in the photo. I can only hope that I model (and paint) something as good as this in the future!

Top job. Greetings from the home of the Me 109. Was this one also built in Regensburg?

I can't answer you that question, Neuling. My knowledge of the production history of the 109 is rather poor but I am sure there are experts around here who can track down the origin of this bird! The "Werksnummer" is 130297 btw.

Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10/R3, Werk # 130297 10./J.G. 51, On the 4th of May around 3pm a Messerschmitt Bf 109G marked "Yellow 5" landed at the Bulltofta airfield outside Malmoe in the south of Sweden. It was flown by Oberfeldwebel Horst Walter Petzschler from Jagdgeschwader 51, also called Geschwader Mölders. His unit, the 10thstaffel, was based at a temporary airstrip in the west of East Prussia, near Danzig.

Nice work on the flaps !! Looks like this kit is easy to modify for flaps down setting.

Thx Bas. Yeah the wing halves are separated conveniently, but you need to cut out the flap parts and do some additional work. I used some plastic sheet in the process too.
