Really nice! 👍 But I think you should turn one of the rotors 90 degrees.

no, you may read the comments on my Flickr album
(flic.kr/s/aHskdCT8Bn)

I have put the rotors into their "service" position 🙂 this is usually done if the heli needs maintenance and is stored in a hangar.
But you are are right the Flettner system like the one at the K-Max has intermeshing rotors which have an offset of 90° - in "operation" mode.
Btw, having the rotors that way saves me space too, now the model fits easily in my display case 😉

This "Flettner-double-rotation-drive" is interesting. One should normally think that both blades collide with each other as they are mounted same height. Somehow it is synchronised and one blade rotates "over" the other. I thought that the KAMOV drives are complicated ...but this tops it again! Grützi in die Schweiz!! Nice Model Ueli

The two rotor discs are mounted at a slight angle to each other when looking at the helicopter from the front (25 degrees, I believe), and offset at 90 degrees rotationally. I built a model of the mechanism in LEGO technic. It's really quite fascinating to look at 🙂
