My respect, I can not cope with the MetalEarth and have abandoned my projects
Same here, I gave up on the pirate ship.. not fun ☹️
Oooh, sorry to hear that, folks! You do need to ensure that you have a variety of fine pliers & cutters......and rollers.........and be slightly looney!!!! That latter helps a lot!! !;^)}
I agree with Torsten: respect. I helped my wife assembling a moon lander and can confirm what Roger says. Without the proper set of tools, it is not fun. Salut!

Next up - washing all the resin parts prior to painting.
Just finished detailing all the panel lines, and breaking out the bonnet intakes (not right thru, but enough to look like they're intakes.)
Nice progress, tedious cleaning!
this material is very sick if you install the windows "as is". do you thin the pillars out?
An enormous amount of problems overcome with creativity Roger. I have always loved the Hardtop Falcons and drove a John Goss Special 302 (green) a mate owned. Bet he wishes he still owned it now! I am also a devotee of SMS lacquers and ceramic scrapers! Looking forward to the paint going on!

As a result of the work on making a place for the windows to sit, and the work on detailing the chrome window trim, I have reduced the thickness of the "A" pillar, but I don't want to go any further, to avoid losing to much strength.
Hope to start playing with the Ford Apollo Blue paint in the next few days....
Build is coming along great. The kit really shows why they took so long to put servo assisted brakes on the Mini, there really isn't anywhere good to put it, and I believe they had to use a remote brake pedal linkage on the LHD version. The original could be converted to LHD in a couple of hours by moving parts, and changing the steering rack and a couple of brake pipes (you could flip an RHD rack upside down, but the wheels went in the opposite direction to the wheel if you did that. All of the mounting holes were covered with plates that could be switched to cover the now empty holes on the other side.
Yes, has both ATM but might sell the BMW because she just bought a Golf GTI
Ohhhh! Sold my Golf GTI Adidas nearly 2 years ago, and still long for that feeling. Great car!
Extremely fascinated to see how this turns into a submarine! 😄
That was a copy/paste gone wrong - sorry to disappoint the transformer fans!!!

Is there a way of grouping together items for sale that are after-market extras for the kit being sold - and noting them as such?
bundle sale, it would be nice.
Great suggestion, i marked this specific request as "duplicate"
So what does that mean? Is that a duplicate because I asked for this some time ago? Is there any likelihood that it might happen?
It means others have asked this before… and yes it will happen

Interesting kit Roger, what superglue are u using, you da man for pe 👍
Ho Jonn, my zest for PE driven by my airbrushaphobia! Using Zap-a-gap medium, which works a little slower on this Nickel based PE, so there's time to move a little. I pour a drop or two into a paint palette & then use the small gluing tools that you can get anywhere. I ended up using small (100mm) zip-ties to close the smaller items like the oil cans. There are some double-sided tools, like the shifter & a pair of multigrips. I'll probably do the same for the long-nosed pliers & side-cutters!! I'm an idiot, I know!!
Just going to pick up some more new MetalEarth kits - Space Shuttle Launchpad & new Mar explorer with mini-drone.....and have Barry Sheene's Suzuki on pre-order in the ridiculous scale of 1:9!!
Thanks for the info Roger, I forget about zip ties, though have them sitting above my bench duhh
love that toolbox Roger
Beautiful details on those tools

I wonder if there will be a time in which they can stamp out curved metal shapes, maybe kept together with tiny bolts. 🙂
I'd be sure to lose the nuts, I reckon!!! !:^)}
I love the shiny look of these Metal Earth kits. This one is really cool!
