Ford Escort RS 2000 X-Pack 'Double Trouble' - 1977 - WIP
First I cleaned up the body's and the chassis which showed an awful lot of air bubble holes...
Next I could concentrate on the resin wheels. I cleaned them up as well, as I did the rubber tires. Next I dryfitted them in the body. I noticed that the wheel arches were not wide enough so I had to scrape away quite a lot of resin.
Now the wheels can sit inside the body without the risk that the body sits to high. Next step is putting it all in primer.
After putting the parts in priler, I spraypainted the basic colors on the bodies, chassis, wheels and bumpers.
Putting on the decals was a real challenge. They didn't react on any setting solution, so I had to use the good old 'hairdryer' method.
Next I dryfitted the main parts. Now I can start detail painting.
Exactly the same story for the white Escort. Very hard decals!
And another dryfit.

No no, you're not seeing things double I started to build these Escorts for a customers who collects Ford's and who couldn't decide which color he liked best for this project, so he wants me to build them in white AND in red...
Customer is king, so here I go. I did some prep work while the Ferrari's clear coats are drying...

I would be interested in what your're asking for this job... if this is not to indiscreet 😳
