Kyle DeHartCockpit all done. And we've closed it up. Seams look good. Some sanding and I think we'll be ok. Maybe a spot of putty but it looks pretty smooth. Also got a start on the engine.

Kyle DeHartI have made some more progress. Mostly stuck together and resembling something that flies. Engine is done enough for me as none of it will be visible. Just did a touch of brass on the pushrods to maybe show some contrast through the cowl but it'll mostly be invisible behind the cooling fan and spinner.

Kyle DeHartCowling and engine installed. As anticipated the engine effectively disappears. I'm hoping at least my shiny pushrods will show after everything is installed. The cowling was in 5 pieces which I find rather annoying but there it is.

Kyle DeHartI have been remiss! Forgot to update this when I painted it. My first mottling attempt. According to photos of the real plane I've found, it was painted in a softer, messier mottle than the polka dots. I'm happy with what I've got. Decals are now also done. Awaiting final drying and dull coat.

Kyle DeHartI can try to grab a few more Neuling. The cockpit is pretty hard to photograph all closed up so that's why I tried to grab some photos before I installed.
