Anyone an idea where I can find a detailed Rigging plan for the Pittsburgh or the Baltimore-class in general?

Try this, one of the best sources of USN plans I know:
floatingdrydock.com/

You'll find a scale 1/96 plan fur USS Pittsburgh here:

Thx for the source. Good stuff there, but unfortunately I'm looking for some Open Source stuff. For 35€ I would rather like to buy some photoetch or an additional model, instead of a plan, even if it es very detailed.
Nevertheless thanks a lot for your help.

Does someone has a hint which color out of the vallejo air, humbrol, revell, tamiya range I can use in order to achieve something similar to "20-B Deck Blue" ? On the picture I triedVallejo Air 54, but it doesnt seem right

Thx for the link. Didn't end up buying this set. But it let me dive into deeper colour research again and now I ended up using "Humbrol 144 - Intermediate Blue Matt"

Seems to be right in contrast to the the other paints, the way I interpret the b/w references I have.

In addition I used some PE sailors from eduard and Uschi van der Rosten's "Elastic Rigging Thread - superfine". Expensive stuff but absolutely worth the money. Makes the rigging process a lot easier.

yeah 😄 It's too late for this one. But my next buildt will be USS Saratoga CV-3 in the 30s. First time within a water diorama and first time with LED Lighting 🙂
