Exiting aircraft, and until now for me unknown. Fun detail with octopus painted above. What colors do you using? Is it RAF Sky under?

This is an excellent kit. Revell in the US developed this one, and it was their first new aircraft kit in many years. I'm glad to see that Revell of Germany is now selling it as well.

I've seen two of them built up so far, one with the octopus. I was told that the octopus decal was quite difficult to apply. But it looks like Lionel is going for a different set of markings. RAF or NZ perhaps?

Beautiful Lionel!
I have heard of Revells re-release; quite interesting, I will have to get one soon. You are doing great work, I looking forward to more of that.

Thanks guys!

As Bill has guessed, I'll go for a New Zealand plane in the US light grey / blue grey camo scheme. I used White Ensign Model paints.
The octopus scheme is attractive... But the paint mix necessary for the ring around the turret is a little complicated. And having this mix perfectly matching the decals will depend either on pure luck or an amount of mixing I can't achieve.
So let's go for a RNZAF plane...

See you

Lionel
