Die Details sind soweit ok, allerdings ist das Modell viel "sauberer" als das Original. Das Modell hat schöne saubere raupenförmige Schweißnähte, in Wirklichkeit waren sie ganz schön rüde zusammengebaut. Mit schrecklichen Schweißnähten und zahlreichen Spuren nachträglicher Bearbeitung mit Trennschleifer und Schweißbrenner. Ich habe mir zahlreiche Walkarounds dazu angesehen. Habe zwar überlegt das im Modell auch umzusetzen, jedoch hat das Modell für mich nicht so einen hohen Stellenwert um die zusätzliche Zeit darein zu investieren. Es ist vielmehr ein Modell das wegen seiner historischen Bedeutung in meine Sammlung gehört, nicht weil mir der Panzer so gut gefällt.

The details are ok so far, but the model is much "cleaner" than the original. The model has nice clean caterpillar welds, in reality they were put together pretty rudely. With horrible welds and numerous traces of subsequent machining with a cutter and welding torch. I've looked at numerous walkarounds on this. I thought about implementing this in the model, but the model is not so important for me to invest the additional time in it. Rather, it's a model that belongs in my collection because of its historical significance, not because I like the tank that much. 

Der Panzer soll schon ein paar "Gebrauchsspuren" haben. So soll z.B. der Fender vorne links fehlen. Ich finde fehlende Kotflügel und Kettenabdeckungen lassen einen Panzer immer richtig schön martialisch aussehen. Der Panzer steht auf meinem Abendbrotteller im Krankenhaus... XD

The tank is said to have some "signs of use". For example, the front left fender will be missing. I think missing fenders and track covers always make a tank look really martial. The tank is on my dinner plate in the hospital... XD 

Ich bau immer zwischendurch schon den Turm, dann bekommt man schnell einen Eindruck und es motiviert zum zügig Weiterbauen.

I always build the turret in between, so I quickly get an impression and it motivates me to continue building quickly. In the background, my "small" box of medicine. 

Sitzprobe, wenn die Infanterie aufgesessen ist wird man natürlich den Turm nicht mehr drehen können.

Sitzprobe. Der vierte Mann passt leider nicht wegen des erweiterten Treibstofftanks auf der rechten Seite. Vielleicht setzte ich ihn auf einen anderen Panzer...

"Seat" test. Unfortunately, the fourth man does not fit because of the extended fuel tank on the right side. Maybe I put him on another tank... 

Das Modell wurde schwarz grundiert.

The model was primed black. 

Dann die Stellen die später etwas heller erscheinen sollen mit weiß bemalt.

Then the areas that should appear a little lighter later are painted white. 

Man bekommt einen Eindruck... Die Figuren selbst sind, wie bei ICM üblich, vorbildlich und wirklich schön. Auch diese werden hier grade bemalt.

You get an impression... The figures themselves are, as usual with ICM, exemplary and really beautiful. These are also being painted here. 

Gruppenfoto: Einige der Figuren an denen ich noch parallel am Arbeiten bin: Ein Panzerkommandant, der bei einem Tamiya Tiger E dabei war, dann ein Panzermann der bei dem Tamiya Panther G dabei war. Die ersten beiden Panzerjäger (Waffenfarbe Rot, wie die Artillerie) gehören zum Tamiya Marder II und der hintere Panzerjäger gehört zum Marder III H von Dragon. Im Hintergrund links sieht man die "Gangsterbraut" von Amor35.

The first two tank destroyers (weapon color red, like the artillery) belong to the Tamiya Marder II and the rear tank destroyer belongs to the Marder III H by Dragon. Mich nervt immer etwas das umständliche Bemalen der Laufrollen. Daher habe ich ein Messschieber, CAD-Programm und FDM 3D-Drucker zu Hilfe genommen...

I always get a little annoyed by the cumbersome painting of the rollers. So I used a caliper, CAD program and FDM 3D printer... 

Die Ringe sind aus einem Silikongummi, TPU mit 95 shore.
Die hinteren drei Laufrollen sind zu dicht zu zusammen, dass ich dort einzelne Ringe drauf bekommen würde. Darum habe ich für beide Seiten je eine Schablone gedruckt mit einer Aussparung für das Leitrad. Um TPU und Druckzeit zu sparen habe ich die inneren Laufrollen der Rollenpaare einfach grob abgeklebt.

The rings are made of silicone rubber, TPU with 95 shore.
The rear three rollers are too close together that I would get individual rings on them. That's why I printed a template for both sides with a recess for the idler wheel. To save TPU and printing time, I roughly taped the inner rollers of the roller pairs.

Noch mit TPU-Bandagen auf den Gummi- ich meine - Kunststoffbandagen.

Alle Ringe sind runter, Auch wenn ich ein paar Stellen nochmal etwas nacharbeiten muss, ist das Ergebnis doch sehr zufriedenstellend.

All rings are off. Even if I have to rework a few spots, the result is very satisfactory. 

Das ist die verwendete Farbe. Ließ sich so aus der Flasche sehr gut Spritzen, muss man aber in einigen Schichten auftragen bis es wirklich deckt. Der Farbverbrauch war entsprechend hoch. Egal, super Farbe!

This is the color used. It was very easy to spray out of the bottle, but you have to apply it in a few layers until it really covers. The paint consumption was correspondingly high. Anyway, great color! 

Leider waren die beiliegenden Vinylketten viel zu kurz. ich habe mich nicht getraut sie auf das Fahrwerk zu ziehen. Jede Seite war mindestens 15mm zu kurz. Also werde ich mir eine Einzelgliederkette aus dem Zubehör kaufen müssen. Diese kosten ca. 30 Eur., was in etwa so viel ist wie das ganze Modell. Das ist sehr ärgerlich.

Unfortunately, the vinyl chains that came with it were way too short. I didn't dare pull them onto the landing gear. Each side was at least 15mm too short. So I will have to buy a single link chain from the accessories. These cost about 30 EUR, which is about as much as the whole model. This is very annoying.
