All the Eduard PE glued to the landing gear.

Album image #8
And the result after painting.

Album image #9
The cockpit is finished. I added a bit of free hand wiring to make it look more interesting from the front.

Album image #14
The fuselage halves are glued together and the Eduard PE seatbelts glued in place.

Album image #15
Added cabling behind the instrument panels are not according to any reference. Just my idea to make it look a bit more interesting. 🙂

Album image #17
Some Eduard PE for the bombs.

Album image #18
Bombs finished along with the extra tank that will be placed in the forward compartment of the bomb bay.

Album image #19
I decided I wanted to be able to open lift part of the canopy in order to get a better look inside and be able clean up the interior when the model is finished.
After cutting the canopy in half I had to replace ca 1 mm of the canopy with a plastic sheet that was cut away by razor saw.

Album image #20
The fit after adding the piece in between the two halves.

Album image #21
I added some more detail to the bomb bay together with the Eduard PE.

Album image #22
Wings modified for the Eduard PE flaps and some extra detail added.

Album image #23
The wheel bays also got some Eduard PE detail.

Album image #24
And everything glued together.

Album image #28
The bomb bay doors got some extra detail from the Eduard PE set.

Album image #29
Album image #30
Extra tank glued into the bomb bay.

Album image #31
The kit provides two nicely detailed engines. No extra PE detail here. I've decided to build the kit with one engine bay opened up to expose the engine.

Album image #32
Some marbling effect on the under side.

Album image #33
The marbling is clearly visible through the RLM65 bottom color.

Album image #34
I'm doing the winter camo, but I want the standard camo to be visible through te white winter camo. I.e some masking and painting with RLM70 and RLM71 needed to be done.

Album image #35
The winter camo is applied using a bit of marbling before spraying the top layer.

Album image #36
The RLM04 wing marking sprayed.

Album image #37
All the decals along with the RLM04 identifying band is finished. I waited with the spraying of the yellow band until I knew where the decals would end up, due to some inconsistency with the marking directions in the manual.

Album image #38
The bomb bay mounted fuel tank came loose several times during the painting process, so I decided to let it be until I finished painting before gluing it in place again.

Album image #39
Basic painting is finished and a matte coat is applied before weathering. I also removed the masking of the windows which is always exciting 🙂.

Album image #40
Still alot of work to be done...

Album image #41
It is finished! 🙂

After a little more work, I have finished the "green house" area. I have also glued the fuselage together and the next area of interest is the bomb bay. 🙂

It's been a while, but the Do-17 is showing some progress again. Major part of painting is over and weathering will start as soon as I've finished the small parts (guns/cowling/flaps etc...). There is still alot to do..

The flying pencil is finished! It took some time and effort but now it is done. There are still quite a few parts left in the PE kit, but I'm happy as it is. 🙂
