2020/21: OOB build of the vintage '84 Revell 1/48 kit.
Another cheap one from online.
Very simple cockpit.

Beginning to take shape. It was a bit of a struggle, nothing fitted anywhere near correctly. I'd guess prior (garage) storage temperature is the culprit here. Kit was a car-boot find.
Filling, priming etc.
Not sure yet how this is gonna turn out, giving the simple underside a bit of weathering/shading.
Being quite heavy with the base coat grey..
OK, so I messed this us as was going to go with my own scheme. Then decided to appropriate to something more realistic.
Masking.
Looking more appropriate!
Heavily thinned Valeo Game Colour orange.
None of these bits fit very well. The wheels were not even round.
Just adding some highlights to the fuel tanks. Again all made up colours!
And here we are... Not too shabby for an ancient OOB kit! 😉
Canopy is not fixed.
The decals didn't want to behave on this ancient kit - but I got them top some sort of realism.

NeilHi Alexander, thanks very much for your comment - appreciated indeed 🙂 Yes. They never seem to fit that well and of course the decals are usually close to unusable - but the end result (I hope!) is a decent enough version!

NeilCheers Calvin, much appreciated 🙂 not a very realistic interpretation of this vintage kit I know... Having got a few more builds under my belt, I'd like to hope I could do a better job if I attempt again. Thanks also to those for the recent likes, you're all very kind 👍

I build straight 'out-of-the-box' endeavouring to show the build journey in as few photographs as possible - this is my reason for utilising montage imagery to help reduce the image count of an album.
