Love this Tamiya kit. Keeping it mostly OOB, with a few drilled out lights. Replaced turret bars with wires to give it a more natural look.
If you are looking for a nice looking and easy to put together model, you could do much worse than this one. Most of my models take many weeks, this might be put together in 2 days - did tracks and wheels yesterday in about 2 hours, almost completed the construction in maybe 3 hours today.

Watching this, not least because I have an idea to try something involving a 48-scale tank (and most probably this particular one)
Looks like a really nice kit, not resisting the attempts to get build and thus leaving ample time & opportunity to focus on making it really nice!😉

Thanks! Of course, first pieces are now consumed by the carpet monster, so now I'm stuck on deciding whether to call it battle damage, or to scratch build replacements...

As I finished construction today, the little T-55 received a layer of black primer and various rust tones from MRP. It might currently look like an autumn prop, it's only a temporary stage.

Thanks Jakub! Struggling with dust on the tracks now, will post more pictures after figuring that out 🙂

Very nice work on the camo - is it all freehand? The colors look spot on, and the way it´s put on also seems very much in line with middle-east field camo application - good job!
Looking forward to the chipping and dusting results - so far it seems we have another runner-up for your best tank finish 👍
The model looks pretty cool as well - all the neat details, surface finishes and nothing really betrays it´s actually not 35-scale.

Added a few pictures of the completed tank. I might dust the machine gun a bit more, otherwise it's done. Inspiration came from this piece:

Never enough dust & stuff on these - good stuff, would not know it´s 48-scale if I did not actually know 🙂 Particularly the tracks & wheels look very convincing, with the weathering & all - really nice job there 👍
Perhaps you could put it next to a 35-scale just to see how much smaller exactly it is?

Thanks, Slavo! This was the only 1:48 tank I had in my stash, so the next one will definitely be 1:35. There are too many in the stash anyway! But as a distraction, I started the KP Mig-19, just posted first pictures. It's not going that well so far, so I'm curious how it will turn out 🙂
