Scratchbuilt long/higher (civil) skids

Album image #4
Made a simple mold to fit the scratchbuild (higher) skids. To make sure the helo doesn't stand askew.

Album image #5
Hopefully the new skids are strong enough to carry it all

New skids fit nicely

Frontcanopy past niet ivm het 'vervormen' vd rompdelen. Maar in the end past alles! En beetje afgekeken bij deze man: forum.largescaleplan...php?showtopic=52735

Nice masking work Bart 👍 The big rattlecans are easy to use but I don't like the the amount if overspray they always give. But, the paint job looks very good 🙂

Thanks, but i'm far from happy with the result. Almost threw at away - think i'll start over with the paintjob. This sucks...

I know what you feel! I ruined the paintjob of my TA-4J Skyhawk tonight.. 🙁 Got the tip to get some bio ethanol from the ACTION, dissolves the paint and does not affect the plastic. Think I'll give it a try

@Erik: does that work with acrylic paints as well?

The one who told me used it on Gunze aqueous and Alclad, and it worked on both. I will give it a try on my Skyhawk which was painted with enamels.. Hope it works..

when removing paint the best is usually a bath of Dettol... but that can not be used in this case of course. alcohol with enamel?, may work, but not 100% i guess.... good luck.
