New for 1955 was a fiberglass bed attached over the existing short bed box allowing for new shapes difficult to be made in steel. Chrome taillights, flashy front bumper, egg crate grill, eyebrowed fenders, overhead valve 145 HP v-8, wraparound windshield and wraparound rear window.
