Looking forward to finished model. Unusual for Tamiya with all the injection marks.

Thank you Martin.
I went to my stash and have a look to a few Tamiya kit. And the number of ejection pin is always very high, even if they are hidden in the end. Just count the number of marks on the upper hull of the BT7: there's just 36 of them...

nice job Lionel, the modulation is well done, did you try to drill out the holes on the ammo racks?

Nice one! Never really had problems with ejection marks 1:48 but that was with panzer III and tiger, and those are closed

@William
I have drilled all the ammo racks and the cartridges are a perfect fit...Upside down 🙁 .I tried to cut a shell and put it in the right way, with no succes. That's why there will be no shell in the marder, and 23 in the stash!

@ Wim: thanks!

Thanks Acki and Kim.
Yesterday I started to add a wash and streaking on the Marder.

So I started the weathering of the kit. First I used a Vallejo's dark yellow watch, used... as a wash, and for some light streaking. I add more streaking with an Ammo by Mig streaking effect.

Next weathering step will be with pigments, a wash in the pannel lines and some drybrush using pencils, as I never was able to do a proper job with a brush.

And, of course, I will add the tracks and a few more details.

Hope you like it

Album info

Building the kit is not the problem: filling and sanding the 60 odd ejection pins marks is!

I tried too to add some RB shells in the racks, without any successs: the racks will be empty!

Th kit kit was painted using Ammo Mig Dunkelgelb modulation set. Now ahead is the painting of the tracks, painting details and weathering the whole lot.

See you

Lionel
