Cable clamps are small heat shrink tubing. Careful attention with a soldering iron.
Test fitting main carrage halves and rear loading platform. Desk still to small...
Corrected location of front bulkhead. Fortunately there's plenty of extra hand wheels left over.. Catwalk was cut and moved forward.
Removal of the inaccurate ballast. Time consuming, but worth the effort.
New ballast added. Diluted Elmers 3:1 distilled water. Alcohol used as wetting agent.
Bright Boy polishing block, used by model railroaders to clean rail tops.he railtops looking
Finished base, 10" shorter than original. Framed in black walnut.
Finally completed.
Locking wire location to support barrel in upward position.One on each side.
