Fujimi moulded this model in an unusual way...
I wanted to glue bodywork together, but not to the floor, so I could spray it Red...
But I discovered in the dry fit, if you glue the side parts of the bodywork to the body, then spray it, it will not fit over the radiators and cockpit to fit to the floor...
There are probably several ways around this, but I chose to fix the sides to main bodywork using masking tape before spraying, then fixing (with glue) bodywork sides only to the floor. When dry remove tape and bodywork leaving the sides in the correct position for final fit, also allowing you the option of removing body to veiw your excellent internal build🙂
I masked the floor to spray Red to the sides, then masked the sides to spray the floor...

Hi Steve,.

a nice Ferrari, unfortunately for me in the wrong scale. curious about, the finished model looks like.

Got the first Benetton of Schumacher as a kit.

Thanks Stefan...
Hi Jurgen, I assume you prefer 1:24 scale...
I build road cars in 1:24 but that scale's too small for my taste for F1 cars.
We're all different and have our own tastes...
Just imagine what it would be like if we all fancied the same woman, sheesh!!! (((😄 ))) Lol.

Hi Steve, unfortunately my cabinets allow no 1:20 F1 models, therefore I am switched to the smaller scale. But is also quite interesting. Have the two Ferraris 1991 here.

Bigger cabinets methinks!!!😄

I've made a discovery...
I wanted to use this aftermarket kit for extra detail: Ferrari 248F1 (Hobby Design HD03-0020, 1:20)
But in doing a dry fit of one front wheel, I have discovered it does not work, there is no way of fitting it to the car or suspension elements, uprights, wishbones etc... so making do with the brake system in the kit...

I don't know???🙂...
Which kit this is designed for, it says nothing on the box or in it...
Ferrari 248F1 (Hobby Design HD03-0020, 1:20)
But for sure, it wasn't designed for the Fujimi Kit...
Is there anyone out there who knows??? I'd love to know!!! PLEASE...

The ST27 kit ? but all sellers that have it are listing it as designed for fujimi 🤔 otherwise you can contact Mr Ning Wangfrl on FB.

Yes Alex...
When I purchased it I was of the assumption it was for the Fujimi kit.
I've seen also that it's generic and could be used for most kits.
But it don't work for Fujimi's...
Unless of course I'm getting it completely wrong.
I have Wang Michael's e-mail I think I'll contact him.
He's also a member on scalemates.

Now this is just a wild guess. but they also sell a different upgrade kit called super detail set. can it be that the wheels and brake kit is designed to work with the super detail kit resin parts ? there seems to be a set of wishbones and uprights included in that kit.

You had me going there for a few minutes, Fellallii??? I thought Hmmm!!!
So I came at it from two different angles, one was putting myself in a chunky Yorkies mind, then a 2 year olds... Voila!!! FERRARI... Arkwright would be P-p-p-p-p-p-proud (((😄 ))) LOL!!!
