Spanjaard thank you. Thank you for the support. The restoration will be complete, as you can see in the photos. New paint, new decals, and lots of repairs to do. It will take some time, but I believe it will be fine in the end.

I'm curious now, too; I have yet to learn anything about restorations.

Jennifer, not everything turned out perfect. As this assembly took place many years ago, the glue was weakened. With some lateral movements and a little force, I managed to get the glue to break. In some cases it worked, in others it didn't. In the ones that went wrong, I'm fixing them so that in the next stage of gluing, the parts come together. It's not easy, it's very meticulous and time-consuming, as it involves parts that wear out over time. I have to remove the glues, decals, paints, do the scraping, so I can start painting soon.

Jennifer, in the first assembly, and this was about two decades ago, I used the original Tamiya glue. See the last photos I posted now, how the difficult reassembly is going. As in the case of the cowling, at the three fitting points on the base, I drilled holes with the three points on each side of it and inserted a brass pin to connect the two.

Guys, I'm looking for the decals for this bike, whose Tamiya item number is 14042 and I can't find them anywhere. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it. I already got the decals for the other models I'm restoring.

sometimes you can find someone who duplicated the decals and can print them for you. you can also create them on inkscape and get them printed as well

Thanks Spanjaard for the suggestion. I'll see if I can do it, graphic design isn't for me. But I will try.
