Great stuff Guillaume. Side by side with the Me262 👍
Great start Guillaume
Interesting. Count me in...
Thank you, Gary, Erik, Roland & Guy.
I discovered the joy of simutanously building 2 models that use the same colors this winter. It make the painting session more productive and I cut my airbrush cleaning time by halfs although is a lot omre of organization. For some reason, productivity is part of the fun of building models for me. Must be a professionnal deformation.
The Dragon kit if well details, but not as builder fieindly as what I used froim Tamiya and a lot less than the Hobby Boss 262.
More vintage Jet-Power...I'm in 👍
Welcome aboard Daniel!

Nice late war 109! 👍
Great looking 109 Guillaume 👍
Good evening Guillaume
Just found your Bf 109 K. Very well built, great paintwork
Thanks Damian, Much appreciated 🙂

Guillaume. Looking at the image you've shared it looks very similar to the Tamiya version. Following.
Gary, so far it's is as nice of a build as of any Tamiya set & probably as good as the best 1/48 offering of Tamiya in term of details. I'm very impressed by the fact that they have detailed all of the fuselage interior.
There is also(seen in the picture) some connecting tabs that make the dry fitting of 80% of the airplane very easy.
Count me in 👍
Thank you all for you interest. I almost done with my spring chores around the house & cars. I should get more hobby time in a few weeks. Can't wait to make this awsome kit progress.
The cockpit is almost done. Just missing the pilot seat.
Looking great. 👍
Thanks Gary . I took inspiration from your project for the wires 😉
Cockpit looks great 👍

That's the way, Well done 👍
I had a weird experience with panel liner & the Testarossa. It was as if the ink was attracted to the model due to static electricity. It would jump from the paintbrush and make small splatters whenever I was holding the brush close to the model.
She like the final result none the less. Plus, this ting is really fast. We already broke a side bumper after it ran into a wall 😛 .
well done Guillaume, as Rui said, that is the way 🙂 i hope to follow it too one day.
Thanks you both. Kids are such a joy. Nothing make me ore happy then when I'm transmitting a piece of knowledge to one of them.

Nice start Guillaume🙂
Haven't had much for the hobby lately but, I'm done with the fuselage assembly. I have applied a fist layer of aluminum lacquer paint & done one pass pre-shading. I'll apply another pass on the aluminum part where it's going to be painted over.
I had to reopen the canopy after I glued it because I had forgot to install the head rest (pic 21& 22). I separated it using a thin blade. That was stessfull but it went well and it will be seamless ounces reassembled.
The model has been finish for a weak, but I was waiting for good weather to take a photo shoot outside. It was a model of very good quality a but I ha abit a of a struggle with some of the instructions. Overall pretty pleased with the result.
Great finish Guillaume🙂 Looks like a bright sunny day there.
Thanks you! much appreciated.

Great result Guillaume!! Too bad for the decals but you managed to make this not so easy looking VERY good! Top job mate 👍
Thanks Erik. It was more challenging than the usual mainstream kits but even more rewarding.
Very nice sir.
Thank you Clifford!

Beautiful result 👍
Thanks guys, really apricated.
Ottovon, I had to use a lot of Micro Sol, but the decal being of high quality, managed to hold together while I was pushing it in every recess.
Very Nice work indeed 👍
Many thanks mates!
That is another nice build Guillaume. Your build brings back good memories. One of the first kits I ever built was a Fw with these markings.

Very nice BF-110.
Fabulous finish Guillaume. Definitely a build I'll revisit as I'd like to get to the Iraqi version one day, and there's inspiration here.
Thanks Cliford & Gary.
The Iraqi version is a nice & original one. Take some picture if you build one.
great result Guillaume!, surprised you had to do so much filling/sanding....but well worth the effort! Eduard's 72nd'er was a dream fit.
Thanks Joshua & Andy. Hehe, I got this one because of the nose decal. I was surprise too with the miss match of the body parts. I have since then built 3 Eduard originals kit and they are far superior to this on in terms of fitment.
I'm going to build a Dragon 110 (probably next summer) and I'm curious to see how it's going to fit compared to the Eduard
It's a good excuse to look at them 😛
😄 😄 😄 I liked your 3d autocad drawings, and I'm looking forward to see your spray booth instaled😎
Wow! Seeing those shelves I regret not having spent the extra buck to get those.
Thanks Rui & Jasper. THe paint booth is on it's way 😄
I just received an upgrade for my compressor. I'll finally be able to control the pressure at the compressor level instead of relying only on the airbrush. THis will help with future mottling .

That detailwork is awesome... Wonderful EMil Mate 👍
Very Nicely done bird.
IMHO, the Yellow top near the guns deserve a bit more weathering?
Stunning looking Emil 👍
You did an excellent job on this one sir.
Thank you all! I find it to still be a bit too dark, but I'll live with it and read instruction much closer in the future.
Rui's I migth revisit this build in the future since the kit was missing some decals. Don't know if it because it was pre-owned or if this weekend kit didn't included 2 sheets of decal like others. I'll migth reapply some weathering.

Beautiful finish there Guillaume!
Thank you all. I Just uploaded the final photoshoot. Enjoy!
Excellent looking Hornet sir. Well done.
Masking kit are great, but I find them explensive for the advantage they give me. I came to the conclusion that a good x-acto blade & Tamiya tape are working better for me. I used a toothpick to create a crease in the tape so It can see the limits of the glass surface and then cut it off with the blade.
Another beauty 👍

Preshading can be challenging if you get too carried away applying paint. Happened to me more than once too... Still, I think it looks great! 👍 If you have a close look at the plane in the video, that's not that beaten up either and shows stark colors as well.
Thank you all for the nice comments.
Patrick you are right. In reality the planes does not get this amount of shading. It's just make for a more dramatic build when we exagerate shadows & the wear & tear. I have since then discovered post shading & like it a lots for touching up the base coat.
Funny enough, in my current build I had to add paint to hide the pre-shading a bit. It's a learning curve.
great balance re. weathering/ I think everyone you learn from is also a success
I don't know how I missed this one, but very well done. I always kind of shyed away from the ARii P-40 as I wasn't sure how it was. Now I know, so next time I get a chance to grab one I will. The only P-40 kit I have ever built was the Revell/Monogram one. I re-scribed that whole thing.
Thanks Clifford This one didn't needed a single scrib or rivet 🙂
Very nice! Congrats!
Very well done 👍
Thanks guys, Happy you like the result. The last months experience is starting to make the pre-shading better and the whole process of model building more enjoyable as I can relate on old experiences instead of interpreting Plasmo's (& others) YouTube videos.
As useful as all those YouTube channels may be, there is no better way of understanding the techniques of this hobby than diving in head first. One might hit his/her head once or twice, but the learning curve tangent from doing so, is worth it. And looking at your comment, the most important part is true as well, you're getting more enjoyment out of it. 👍
This one is my favorite of your builds. It just turned out beautiful.
Nice start & rescribe work.
Great start. I have this one also.
Interesting mate...wanna follow this!
I like the green. What paint are you using?
I have used Tamiya, XF-11 & added a few drip of XF-71 for the highlight on the panels.
That is looking very nice.
Thanks Clifford. Unfortunately the clear coat made the whole model a lot darker & I lost most of my panel highlights. At least the pre-shading still shows trough a bit.
I wonder why sometimes the clear coats do that. I guess it has to do with the colors themselves. It seems to do it the worst on darker colors. My Mustang did the same thing, it's olive drab.
In my case I had applied a very thin layer of J.N. green so I could still see the preshading. Maybe a thicker coat of paint would have reacted less. The result is not that bad, but I'll take this into account and add more highligths, the next time I build a Japanesse navy airplane. I have a nice Tamiya J1N1 waiting in the stash 🙂
It still turned out nice. I even took mine out when you started yours, but then got hung up with the 109's and the F-89, so stuck it back in the stash.

I don't know the ARII kit, but all the resin and decals look good to me. 👍
The kit is way more detailed than I expected. I migth not need to use riveting tool at all. Plus it got a detailled engine(2 parts, but still).
Alright! Curious to see what it looks like when built.
Like german cars, german planes have a special part in my heart. But every nation had their iconic plane. This one was a favorite of my when I was 10 yo. Must have something to do with the shark mouth. But looking at it as an adult I really like the profile. I can see how it inspired the original Mustang fast back design.
It's already finished😉 I got so excited by the extra part I got with this kit that I started it as soon as I opened the box this fall.
ARII P-40E W38 Dallas Clinger Kweilin China 1942 | Album by Guillohm (1:48)
The build is finished. I should have applied putty in the curved panel line bellow the canopy. The panels splits are different for the Bf109G-14 variants vs the Bf109G-14AS & later variants. Unfortunately, I discovered that after having applied the clear coat. I should have done a bit more researches instead of relying on the instructions sheet.
It's a nice kit. I really like the RLM 82 on 75 combination. Much more lively that the 74 on 75.
Looks very nice Guillaume.
Nicely done Guillaume. I like the 82 & 75 camo colors too 🙂
Very Nice work 👍

Following. The cockpit is looking great 🙂
Watching. The "other" Mosquito of WWII. What black primer did you use?
Thank Nathan, appreciated.
Andy, I was a big fan of the original Mosquito and learned recently about the existence it's german copy. I plan to get a model of it next year to put them side side on the shelf.
For the balck primer, I used a Can of Krylon black camouflage. I like it because it's cheap & extra mat.
It's also fast to dry. This time tough it stayed sticky a bit longer than usual. Maybe I didn't shake the can enough.
Oh man that camo came out awesome.
Thanks Nathan. It was a learning curve but the fourth pass was the charm. BTW I took inspiration from the antenas on your Do-335 for my build😉
Wow thanks Guillaume. That's a nice result on the build. I need to dig my kit out of the stash at some point!
Thanks Nathan, I hope you have as much fun as I had with mine 🙂
Thats a beauty 👍 Great Job!
