I was born on Barksdale AFB and my family was also stationed at Mather AFB in CA…but most of my memories are from K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan, and Carswell AFB in Fort Worth. All were SAC bases and homes to B-52s.
My dad was a radar navigator on B-52s for 20 years and flew in this very plane:
5/14/1980: 5.7 hours
5/16/1980: 5.7 hours
1/15/1981: 8.7 hours
2/24/1981: 5.9 hours
