Album image #1
Reference materials and kits.

Album image #2
The part to be cut for the fuselage extension is under consideration.(The drink contains dietary fibre)

Album image #3
The bubble window of the Revell 1/72 UH-1D fits perfectly!

Album image #4
I have purchased the PE parts made by eduard.
I believe it will make the cockpit more precise.

Album image #5
I'll try to cut it off quickly.

Album image #6
The cutting process and Dr Pepper

Album image #7
"Sarashikubi"

Album image #8
A mistake in the cutting point was noticed and corrected in a hurry.

Album image #9
I was in a model shop, looking at the products, when I had the idea of making the wingtip lights shine!

Album image #10
The light is white, but this is not a problem as we will install coloured lenses later.

Album image #11
It will be powered by the T64 engine, not the R-3350, so it will have to be modified to suit.

Album image #12
It also extends the fuselage. (It's easy to see because of the different colours).

Album image #13
Fill in the gaps further.
I'm not very good with a saw, so there are lots of gaps...

Album image #14
I bought the kit released in 2019 because the decals are deteriorating and I don't know if I can use them and the printing accuracy is not very good.

Album image #15
Ergonomically disregarded chair converted into a gaming chair

Album image #16
Increased rudder area.

Album image #17
Summer in Japan is very hot.
Open the windows.

Album image #18
I made a rough shape with a plastic board.

Album image #19
The shape of the bubble window has been corrected.

Album image #20
Fillet.

Album image #21
The height of the bomb bay and the front fuselage are different and need to be smoothed.

Album image #22
I'm going to paint it anyway.

Album image #23
First of all, it was filed...

Album image #24
press "REDO"

Album image #25
The AN/APS-80 radome will be sculpted.
You can see that it is smaller than the AN/APS-20.

Album image #26
I just keep filing and filing.

Album image #27
One of the most important modifications of the aircraft will be the conversion to the T64 engine.

Album image #28
It has been filed and smartened up.

Album image #29
The finished product is checked to make sure that it matches the image of the actual machine.

Album image #30
It's time to make a new searchlight.

Album image #31
I re-carved the moulding of the main wings. (I'm getting tendonitis…)

Album image #32
The installation of a VOR/LOC antenna is another feature of the P-2J.

Album image #33
We have to say goodbye to the cockpit for a while.

Album image #34
I made an oil cooler door out of 0.2mm plastic board.

Album image #35
I temporarily fixed the landing gear.
I've made a rough estimate, but the ground attitude looks fine!

Album image #36
I used too much force and destroyed the window frame...

Album image #37
Did I break the window frame? Well, I don't know what you mean.

Album image #38
fuselage (front side)

Album image #39
fuselage (tail side)

Album image #40

Album image #41
Comparison between P2V-7 and P-2J.

Album image #42
Finally, it's time to paint!

Album image #43
The Walkway decal cannot be used as it is an extension of the fuselage.
So we will finish with masking!

Album image #44
Now that the painting is complete, it is time to prepare the base for the decals.

Album image #45
The marking process is complete!
Once properly photographed, this two-month journey will come to an end.

Album image #46
Mission complete!

Awesome project and really nice work so far 👍
About picture 40: They look somewhat like HVAR, or rockets in general.
I could be wrong about that but at least Wikipedia says that the P2J could be armed with rockets under her wings.

Album info

The P-2J is an anti-submarine patrol aircraft developed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. in the 1970s to replace the aging P2V-7.
The P-2J has an extended fuselage, a T64 turboprop engine, a larger directional rudder area and spring tabs.
Originally there was a conversion kit available, but I couldn't get it, so I'll do my best as factory manager!
