Michel Wingard Has anyone seen this yet? Wondering how it compares to the Academy kit

Michael Smith I have it, but not the Academy. Trying to figure out what time frame it is. I think it is Santa Cruz.

Michel Wingard I've heard that the box appears to be Enterprise at Santa Cruz. If it is I'm definitely interested. I tried to do a conversion of the Trumpeter USS Hornet to the Enterprise at Santa Cruz. I didn't work out so well. I've been working on Dragon's CV 16 Lexington and feel it is a superior model over the Trumpeter. I do know there is a difference in the age of the molds. I'd be intersted when you start your build on how it goes together.

Michael Smith I did a lot of research last night on what would be needed to backdate it to Midway, and I can confirm that except for including the wrong torpedo bombers, it is as accurate to Santa Cruz as I know. All of the new antiaircraft guns are in place, and the starboard side of the island is modified to the right of parents. I'm getting pessimistic about building a Midway Enterprise now – I may go ahead and build it as Santa Cruz.
