Thomas Hartwig So, what does the guy say, who said yours is shipped mid November? And yes, Andys video is really eyecandy.

Thomas Hartwig @James Hatch: Is your review already online?

James Hatch Soon. Finishing mag articles and Christmas got in the way!

Tom Carroll Thomas Hartwig Custom Scale Shop said their container was stopped at customs and there is a 10 day delay. Sounds like it will be released January 4th
29. December 2018 at 15:57:26
Thomas Hartwig @Tom I see - I just wonder what the actual container at the customs has to do with the kit you recieved word was sent to you on 27th October (see your message above).
Yes, the official release date given by Das Werk is 4th of January. Cannot wait to have it in my hands

Tom Carroll Thomas Hartwig I'm not sure why I got a "shipped" notification from them on eBay when it clearly hadn't been shipped. And it is weird how a seized shipping container plays in when the official release date hasn't happened yet. I think I might be getting a bit of the run-around from custom scale-shop.

Tom Carroll Finally received mine today

Thomas Hartwig @Tom only 3 months after order. ;)

Peter Hardy Very interested to see what you do with this. Very big kit and plenty of load space.
14. January at 08:38:45
Angel Yovtshev Thanks Peter!
Intend to try converting it into a Faun ZR tractor.
Between 3 and 6 ZR's were delivered for Bulgarian Royal Airforce in late 1943/early 1944 and they were all used as airfield tractors. One was present -in dire condition- in Sofia's National Museum of Military History outdoor exhibition untill 2010.It is gone now-and I hope for good, not abroad...
I'm scratching my head now to find suitable wheels(Faun L900 wheels are 13.50-20, while ZR wheels were 9,75-20).
14. January at 09:40:24
Peter Hardy Angel, I'm not familiar with any Faun. Agree on the preservation of old equipment. Unfortunately trucks are not as "historically significant" as armour and don't handle sitting out in the weather for 20 years very well. Research must be fun though, I can just see you rabbiting around under a rusting old hulk with a camera and a note book!

Olivier Hello James, 1501 HP ? Are you sure ? It would belong to a boat but a lorry ?
8. January at 12:47:22
Martin Oostrom It seems most reviewers are borrowing from the same source. 150hp sounds more reasonable for a truck of that era
8. January at 15:06:40
Björn Groen It had, as far as I know from a few results I got from Google, a 180hp diesel engine. Due to the weight of a tank in the back the maximum speed was around 60km/h (37miles/h)
8. January at 15:16:47
Olderwin And the FAUN L900 was build by FAUN (Fahrzeugwerke Ansbach und Nürnberg), a company spezialized in heavy duty custom build trucks with no other major companies involved or subcontracted.
8. January at 20:14:00
James Hatch Edited. Sorry guys! I have to take reference from somewhere as I don't pretend to know all this stuff ;)
