Tom Carroll Thomas Hartwig Custom Scale Shop said their container was stopped at customs and there is a 10 day delay. Sounds like it will be released January 4th

Thomas Hartwig @Tom I see - I just wonder what the actual container at the customs has to do with the kit you recieved word was sent to you on 27th October (see your message above).
Yes, the official release date given by Das Werk is 4th of January. Cannot wait to have it in my hands

Tom Carroll Thomas Hartwig I'm not sure why I got a "shipped" notification from them on eBay when it clearly hadn't been shipped. And it is weird how a seized shipping container plays in when the official release date hasn't happened yet. I think I might be getting a bit of the run-around from custom scale-shop.
Peter Hardy Very interested to see what you do with this. Very big kit and plenty of load space.

Angel Yovtshev Thanks Peter!
Intend to try converting it into a Faun ZR tractor.
Between 3 and 6 ZR's were delivered for Bulgarian Royal Airforce in late 1943/early 1944 and they were all used as airfield tractors. One was present -in dire condition- in Sofia's National Museum of Military History outdoor exhibition untill 2010.It is gone now-and I hope for good, not abroad...
I'm scratching my head now to find suitable wheels(Faun L900 wheels are 13.50-20, while ZR wheels were 9,75-20).

Peter Hardy Angel, I'm not familiar with any Faun. Agree on the preservation of old equipment. Unfortunately trucks are not as "historically significant" as armour and don't handle sitting out in the weather for 20 years very well. Research must be fun though, I can just see you rabbiting around under a rusting old hulk with a camera and a note book!
