Mind blowing, as always... I wonder what will you build after you have built ALL available helicopters on the market...?

From time to time you are lucky as a model builder. So also in this case: the idea for a next project was not yet quite pronounced and I just learned that Vingtor Decals wants to put his long sold-out sheet with the number 48 - 129A for a Norwegian Mk.43 again.
It arrived today and I'm thrilled!
You can immediately see that Nils Mathisrud (responsible for the artwork) designed the sheet „through the eyes" of the modeler.
The Norwegian national badges are available twice: once red and blue printed together and additionally consisting of two separate elements (blue and red separated). This offers the modeler the opportunity to realize did national badges absolutely free of offset. That would not be necessary with this sheet, because the print (BOA, Chech Republic) is absolutely excellent and without any offset.
Examples are also the size information in millimeters (original) for the black lettering: 300 mm, 280 mm, 250 mm, 200 mm! This approach is unparalleled.
Finally, Nils has reproduced all maintenance hints excellently and legably. He also thought about this point: black / red and black / white elements are present twice: once all colors together and additionally all colors separated. Here, too, the modeler can work very exactly.
I'm looking forward to the project and processing these decals. Thank you Vingtor Decals and Nils Mathisrud. 🙂🙂.
Very highly recommended

Exactly 4 months ago my Mk-41 was finished, at least the fuselage. That's how long I've been waiting for Jam Screw's main rotor head. Since yesterday, waiting is now history.
Was it worth the wait, you'll ask? Definitely yes! Considering the content of the 2 boxes, I would have waited another four months!
It is a masterpiece of 3D construction. The depth of detail is unsurpassed and in my opinion cannot be surpassed! As already described in the unboxing of the landing gear, the „preparation" of the 3D model for 3D printing is also an art in itself. This feat JS has masterfully solved.
The „support pillars" are numerous, but so cleverly placed and so fine that it is no problem to prepare the part. There are also no pimples on the surface.
To warm up, I separated the „red", „black" joints, swash plate and lower part of the stern and only took about 20 minutes.
The instructions are exemplary and include more than dozen steps on 6 pages. Absolutely remarkable is the fact that the differences in the three types of blade joints were taken into account with absolute precision.
Will be continued…
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

As promised the first update.
Take your time to separate the parts and handle them. Everything is very filigree.
As described in the instructions, the 2 x 5 holes in the 2 stars (parts #D and #E) must be carefully adjusted to the diameter of the pins of the parts #K. Here I first used 1.15 mm and finally 1.20 mm drills. Everything holds so together without glue and the 5 parts #K can be aligned. I recommend combining the axle (Part #A) with a brass tube with about 2.15-2.2 mm diameter.
At this point a supplement: there are not three different joints but five! Although I have already built two Sea kings, I was not aware of it: with joints on one side, the hinges have different angles. Will be continued. 🙂

Today I took a very close look at the MRH I bought a few months ago and compared it with original photos.
At first glance, the product looks good. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed because I immediately discovered an error: the „red" blade, which points backwards when folding, has no hydraulics and no mechanics in the original. At BAM it is designed in the same way as the „white" and the „black" blade (left side when folding). After removing the surplus components (correcture), the blade joint looks very far from the original 🙁. Correcting is very difficult because the material is very brittle.🙁
I also miss the „boom" on the top side, to which the main E-cable and three hydraulic lines are attached. Furthermore, I miss on the side opposite the pitch link arm with „white", „black", „blue" and „yellow" blades a important hydraulic component (control cylinder unit) to which four lines (1 x E and 3 x hydraulics) are attached.
Conclusion:
Detailing is better compared to the kit, but unfortunately with some errors.
I will definitely not use it.

It took me a whole 4 years to realize that this product exists. And another two years until I really hold it in my hands. I am thrilled even though it is 1:35 for the scale. All elements are still small and fine enough to be used in airplanes and helicopters in 1:48. Spark plugs or as a plugs for hydraulic hoses and other electrics. 🙂🙂🙂

Here, too, I was able to follow the growt „live": it doesn't get any better! Even the brown blankets with the inscription BUND (!!!!) are there. Here the same applies; another early Mk.41 will follow!l

I have read the instructions again carefully: IMO the idea of curing the parts in sunlight by the modeler himself is absolutely brilliant! How often I have parts broken off during separating the components despite the greatest effort and caution.
HeloStuff think along!

Considering this quality, I will definitely build another Mk.41. I had the opportunity to follow how the set came about and know what I'm talking about.🙂🙂🙂

I hold the part in my hand and almost don't want to believe what I see there. A masterpiece of 3D design and shape design. Constructing and printing is one thing, but designing the part in such a way that you can get it free without damage is an art! This feat is very successful in Jam-Screw. After a few minutes, the part got free without damage.

Today I took a second look at the parts and am even more enthusiastic. On the rear wheel suspension leg, even the eyelet for lashing is shown at the back. At most 0.2 mm thick... The wheels are bulging not only flat at the bottom. Big difference to the „only flattened".

These comments are so useful when considering 3D printed parts or any AM accessories, for that matter - there are so many new manufacturers out there and you often have no idea what you'll get. Thank you for taking the time to do this!

I am currently working on this model and was looking for someone who had built it before to see how to do the bombardier's seat and kneeling pad. Wow! This is amazing! Thanks for the detailed photos. But now I feel like boxing mine back up and picking a different hobby. 😉

I'm veeeery glad to see this model in the „charts" again! I'm very honored by you comments. Kurt: do you have started the WIP thread yet? This aircraft is one of those that interests me very much, especially since there are hardly any finished models. No wonder the kit is a tough chunk! Please note that I have changed by mistake the seat cushion and backrest on the front seat. When I realized it, it was already too late to correct it.

I looked at the contents of the box for several minutes to understand why there are so many parts.
First, the box contains parts for one tailrotor with 5 and AND one tailrotor with 6 blades. This covers all variants. 🙂
In addition, Jam-Screw offers the model builder the choice between a „fast“ path and a universal path to build his tailrotor.
The quick way means that the entire rotor is assembled from 6 or 7 parts: the complete rotorhead (including the pitchlinks!!!!) and 5 or 6 blades.
The universal way looks like each blade can be mounted in any position. This means that the blades can have a negative or a positive pitch
All blades can also be swivelled in the parking position. In the second case, there are 22 or 26 parts that a rotor consists of. The „rasterization“ is hardly visible to the naked eye and I suspect that after painting it is not perceptible. Great great great!

The winch were also included in the package yesterday. Anyone who wants to build a german MK 41 can’t avoid this part. Here, too, the quality is excellent: even the cylindrical part on the housing is precisely reproduced (probably a kind of electrically hydraulic component). Actually, it’s „too bad“ to install the part: then you can no longer see that even the drum with the wire/rope is shown on the inside. Highly recommended.

Today the package arrive and I just unpacked the part... I'm thrilled! The depth of detailing is fantastic. Each screw is on right place even the 4 wing nuts on the maintenance panel at the top! Microscopically small and a challenge not to break them off during assembly and painting. Highly recommend! 🙂🙂🙂 thx Jam-Screw for this magnificent part.
