First components are done on the German F-84F. The gun bay is a 3D printed part included in the "HIGH END" kit. Seat cushions and belts are made from scratch.

Hi Michael! Alles Gute in neuen Jahr - viel Glück Gesundheit und viel Zeit für schöne neue Modelle 🙂 Ja, ich bin sehr sicher in Moson - fahr ja nur 25min von daheim. Ob ich was zeige, weiß ich noch nicht, aber ich bin auf alle Fälle dort. Hab mich schon mit Zsolt verabredet - wir hatten uns am Plastik WInter getroffen. Kommst du? Würde mich echt freuen, wenn wir uns mal persönlich kennenlernen.

Ich hab auf jeden Fall vor zu kommen. Hängt jetzt noch ein bisschen von meinem Dienstplan und familiären Verpflichtungen ab.
Schön dass Zsolt auch wieder mit dabei sein wird. Ich hab auch schon Frank (Bughunter) gefragt, der letztes Jahr zum ersten Mal mit dabei war. Simon Nagorsnik werde ich auch noch kontaktieren.

many thanks @Rui! appreciate your kind feedback. I was able to work a bit on the the D-5 and I want to share a quick update on one of the two P-51´s. I decided to give the D5 open engine cowlings and gun bays as Eduard released the prints recently. The engine is only dry fitted and only shows the main components no. In total you can see an assembly of about 10 components. I´m really impressed by the quality of the prints

Unfortunately, the competition level was too high this time and the Cobra was not awarded - there were really outstanding builds there that deserved the Snowman way more. But it was nice to be there and see all the amazing talents. Shame that I didn't know you are there … we could have met 🤷‍♂️

A small update here after hours of dry fit and small adjustments I painted and weathered the area of the crane mechanism. Did not spent too much time there as it is barely visible. Next step is to glue all the components together - should be done quite fast after all the dry fit and preparation.

Vielen lieben Dank Zsolt! Ach schade .... vielleicht sind wir sogar bei der Siegerehrung nebeneinander gestanden und haben uns nicht erkannt. War ganz hinten und neben mir war (glaube ich zumindest) eine Gruppe ungarischer Modellbauer ... das ärgert mich jetzt. Im März ist die Scale and Paint in Wien, oder Mosonshow ...

@Alec - thanks for your nice feedback - appreciate it. Maybe because I started and stopped in 2023 ... hahahaaaa ... It will get out of the shelf of doom for sure, but I´m working on other builds at the moment and also 2 commissions are planned for end of the year. Probably beginning of next year 😄

That turned out beautifully! Hard to determine how much weathering should go on these jets - since they are so new, and the PLAF won't be showing any weathered aircraft on their promo videos that hasn't been cleaned! 😀
