Ok I have just a couple of questions and please think carefully before answering:
1. who is taking part in scalemodel building competitions
2. who is organising this kind of competitions
3. who thinks that a automated tool for this would benefit a competition organisation
4. who thinks that standarisationbody would be beneficial for the idea of competition (I don't ask how, just figuring and checking opinions and try to open up a open dailog)

Stijn Croo
1-modelers who want to see if they evolve in their skills
2-members of a modelersclub
3-a tool that makes it easier to input the data would help not only the one behind the pc but maybe also the judges themselves
4- a uniform standard for all model competitions in one or more countries would be a nice thing not only for the way how to judge a model but also concerning the rules of a contest, if the rules would be the same for all clubs organizing a competition in a country then everybody has a equal chance and their skills would be judge the same everywhere

Hi Bart - you may want to elaborate as to what you are getting at with your questions. I do go to competitions, I have never organized one, but I am lost on question 3 and 4.

Well Alec, Stijn pointed out the way .... read his answers on 3 & 4. You know I really wonder if there is a way to make this more uniform, because I see it in the same way as Stijn does, there might be a lot of adavantages. If we can make here a standard for how competition are set up, judged and keep track of results in an open dialog (like the way the standards for i.e. internet are created) there might be a possibility that there comes a better flow in the competions.

It might encourage more people to participate.

@SMC we use a tool for the handling of the competition, i am thinking to make this open source or subscription based so we can pay for better and faster servers .... just an idea
