Thanks, Gerald and Erik! Just getting back into modeling after a 31 year hiatus.
In the late 50s early 60s, I was building car models. As a youngster, I was into detail, adding wiring and brake lines, and building modified one-offs with an emphasis on body modifications and custom paint. In the 70s and 80s, I built 1:48 scale only, WWII military aircraft (mostly Luftwaffe) and later, modern USA military aircraft.
I now have an interest in one particular plane, the Connie. Actually, I've always been fond of them, seeing they were flying when I was a child. So, right now, I'm working on two, and I'm only going to do airliners in one scale, 1:72. I appreciate consistency in any display of model aircraft— placing a 1:44 next to a 1:72 doesn't appeal to me, neither does displaying an anachronous variety in a group. So, I'm working on the 1049-G and L-749.
Best regards,
JE
