Some fantastic news about the Scammell's. And we're spoiled for choice as Thunder Models and IBG are releasing these new kits. It will be interesting to compare their kits. I,m looking forward to build the recovery tractor when it's released. Thank you for sharing all this info Oleg.

You're welcome, Ferry! 🙂
I make a bet on the "Thunder model", even though the latter kits of IBG good. Here are the words of the vendor about this situation:
"It´s been always kinda sad to see two or more kits producers announcing the same kit at the same time. We are very surprised that IBG did not let us know in September about their plans to release this kit, when we contacted them (as our potential distributor for their country) with our intention to do so. Then we could had had scrapped this project, unfortunately now is too late, and the kit will be released in the spring as planned."

I've now built both IBG and Thunder Models Recovery and both have problems. IBG has shape problems around the cab which CAN be fixed by some plastic strip and some filler. The Thunder Models suffers from being over-engineered and too many bloody parts! I mean what use is a front wheel where each of the 5 tyre treads is a separate part? The nice thing about the Thunder Models kit is the cab doors and the stowage doors can be posed open which you can't do in the IBG without some surgery (I did get the IBG cab doors to open but it was a bit of a faff!)
