Michael HickeyYes well, there we have a slight problem. This morning I opened the box to continue work on the cab and all the clear parts are missing. I remember the last thing I did with them was dip them in Future and left them in a Chinese container to dry so no dust would settle on them. When I went to that container the parts weren't there. So I will need to find them before I can continue on with this project, but I'm determined to make it happen.

Christian RistitsHello Michael, I started a new job last week, and it is a management-position...so, sadly, there will be really less time for modelling in the next months. But nevertheless, I have an A-6 TRAM Intruder, a F-80C and a F-104 with many goodies in my pipeline. I also ordered the almost complet assortment of extreme metal colours from AK...so I think I will start with my F-80 in natural metal finish very soon

The project is currently on hold because of the canopy. What you see in these pictures is my attempt at fixing the inaccurate canopy that comes with the kit. Many moons have passed since then. Right now the canopy is on it's way to an aftermarket manufacturer that will try to produce vacuform copies.
I must say that your interest somehow stimulated me to get back on it.

Murad ÖZERanother bad kit from revell. it's an italeri mold afterall what can one expect?
cockpit almost none exist, raised panel lines yet the overall fit of the fuselage as well as the engine block and side armor are so bad that filling and sanding will be required here and there! better stay away or go for a bigger kit in 1/48.

By the way, you also took on all the modification that I have planned for my AH-1W NTS, to include the turned exhausts, dual chaff/flare buckets, and metal M197. Great to see how it turned out, I hope I have the skills you do to pull it off! Bravo!!!

the built was OK. Academy had done a good job. It´s an older kit with new parts for the NTS Update, but the kit is really OK.
I only found one wrongt hing => the skid. The Cobra has roundfixing points and Academy build oval fixing points of the skid. I didn´t found more.
Then you shell use the interieur set for the cockpit because without this set, the cockpit seems a little bit naked and of yourse a lot of copper for the different wires.
If you want to build the same cobra (HML/A 167 "Warriors", MCAS New River, 2002) first put the big Snake Decal on the body and then the skid. Otherwise you have to cut the decal.

No, I won't. The one with the turned exhausts will be two tone gray, while the other will have a digital camouflage. Thus the kit decals wouldn't be appropriate.
