Interesting subject. Just watched a documentary the other day of the development of Swedish aircraft. This was included.
I picked up this kit last weekend on a whim! I'm looking forward to staring it!
Nice! I really enjoyed building this one, and very pleased with how it turned out. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. If you post a build album I will follow along as well!
Any recommendations and tips on the spointer camo masking would be very gratefully received!
Well, first, MAKE SURE YOU GET A MASK SET! Unless you are a tape masochist, do not even attempt to mask this yourself. I used the DN Models mask set and it worked pretty well for me. Don't sweat anomalies, soft edges from tape and mask lifting, or improper placement until after all the colors are down. You can always go back in after and clean up edges and other errors. If you look at my build album, there are some pics of my progress and comments made along the way. It may be of some help:

Noted. Thanks Michael! The chap on the stall at IPMS said that there was a "Special Hobby" Mask set due out next year, but if you were happy with the DN models one then I might go with that as it is more of a known quantity!
excellent build. well done
With the AGM-65's how did you get the join between the main part and back part of the missile parallel and perfectly lined up?
Thanks Villiers de Vos
Ah, Viggen - my favorite aircraft all time! I missed your build start but will keep checking it out as it progresses! Looks great so far, you seem to be on the final stretch now!
Those inlets don't look too good, following

Looks pretty good. 👍
Welcome back to the hobby! 😄
Welcome back to the hobby! You'll be hooked now 😄
Welcome back! The moulding of this kit dates back to 1978! So you did a good job on a rather moderate kit. Keep it going!
