Christian Meyerhoff Welches Treffen?
14. March 2013 at 20:18:07
14. March 2013 at 20:28:56
Steve Wilson I say, that's a big one. Not as big as "Big Bertha" though!!! Longer, but a lot thinner as well... Here's a pic of "Big Bertha":

Mike Kryza ...but you can move the "Matterhorn" a little bit better! :D
14. March 2013 at 20:34:04
14. March 2013 at 20:39:43
Steve Wilson Now why would you want to move the "Matterhorn"???
What's the MATTERWITH where it is??? :D :D
14. March 2013 at 20:44:32

Frank Krause Great job, Ingmar! You mastered that "pin mark attack" very well! I'm curios for the finals!

Markus Kutsch Wow,what a Monster.Clean build,the sinkmarks are a real pity.
5. November 2012 at 20:08:06
Ingmar Stöhr They are! But I'm realy thinking about getting another one, ore maybe the 21cm mortar... fascinating monsters they are!
5. November 2012 at 20:11:22
14. December 2012 at 17:21:53
Steve Wilson Ahhhh!! yes the dreaded ejector pin marks, always in the wrong place as well, or in an awkward position, as are some those little blighters. Thin pallet knife is useful here with thinned milliput, or other modeling putty, cellulose thinners is best... Keep going Ingmar your doing fine!!!
14. December 2012 at 18:37:32
Steve Wilson By the way thinning the putty helps it level out, not so much sanding to do in those difficult to get too places... :) :) :)
14. December 2012 at 18:40:51
Aghis Barberopoulos Quite an assembly! The sinkmarks are Trumpeter trademarks :)

It comes with lands and grooves, but only for the first 10mm. Also the hole is only 12mm deep.

Frank Krause This is surely an interesting project. What are your plans for it? In firing or in towing position? May I follow, since I've got the same ahead of me?
4. November 2012 at 22:38:13
Ingmar Stöhr Shure you may follow. Maybe it will give me the necessary motivation to finish this project. I allready started it about 1 1/2 years ago. There were quiet some difficulties and I also moved to another town inbetween. At the Moment I'm preparing some pictures and try to figure out this site...
5. November 2012 at 19:10:57
Frank Krause Thanks, Ingmar! You surely did some research, but if you need some more detail photos, have a look here (pics 119 - 132): Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung Koblenz 2012 | Album by Frank Krause
5. November 2012 at 19:24:57
Holger Kranich If you need motivation, I'll be in too! That's an interesting subject, I'd like to see more like Frank!
5. November 2012 at 19:40:20
Ingmar Stöhr Is there any way, to add more text to the pictures? I put so much time in finding out some errors and changing the suspension to correctly depict the gun in firing mode, that I'd realy like to write it down. Like in a full build report or something like that...
5. November 2012 at 20:09:06
Ingmar Stöhr As you clearly can see, it is shown in firing mode. I'm yet a bit undecided on the colour, but I'm leaning towards Panzergrau. And at first it will yust be put on a wooden base with a figure and maybe some shells for size comparison. I'd realy like to make a big diorama out of it, but that will have to wait since a firing mission would need so much personel and tools and... but as I'm writing this, there might be an interesting idea... I'll have to seach a picture...
