Now that I have quite a precise idea of what I want to do with it, I started weathering it into a long abandoned vehicle
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/1/5/9/1224159-86785-30-720.jpg)
Some rust is still needed.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/1/5/7/1224157-86785-84-720.jpg)
The chassis looked too dark. A serious wash with buff fixed that. Some more rust needed here too.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/1/1/5/1227115-86785-35-720.jpg)
For rust I used thick washes of oils in white spirit. Three tone were used to build up the effect
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/1/1/3/1227113-86785-63-720.jpg)
I tried to let it rust in logical places
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/1/1/4/1227114-86785-91-720.jpg)
Not unsatisfied with the chassis so far. But the cabin does not look quite right yet.

Two jacks have been fashioned.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/3/5/5/1490355-86785-86-720.jpg)
The rear axles will be supported by piles of bricks.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/0/9/8/1496098-86785-53-720.jpg)
The jacks will be placed on a slate of 'concrete'.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/0/9/9/1496099-86785-50-720.jpg)
Proof of concept.

I'll ad two more layers of bricks. The jacks are adjustable. So I can achieve some more tire clearance.

Fresh from the spares box: Some of the stuff that will eventually populate the bed of this truck. Basic painting done, with some parts hairspray-chipping too. Next oils.

Hi Neuling and Finn. Welcome.
@Neuling: the pics will come as soon as it is ready. 🙂 Work actually seriously hampers my hobby right now.

Great level of weathering!
Really like rusty vehicles😃
Maybe add some rust deposits in the corners and a few subtle streaks on the cabin🤔

This should be a long abandoned vehicle. So the tires should be flat. Having mounted resin wheels it would be difficult to achieve that. So I decided to lift the truck, thus making round tires believable. The rear axles will rest on piles of bricks while I fashioned two jacks for the front.
