Time spent:
too much for how bad it looks

Concept of a flying (not gliding) variant of the BT tank, designed by A.N. Rafaelyantsa. Unlike the more well-known A-40, this tank was supposed to fly on its own power, meaning it was crewed. The wings were supposed to be removed upon landing. The project was worked on until wind-tunnel tests were done on a model, where it was found that the concept would not work.
This model isn’t like the actual blueprints, as it was made from various parts (like an old Il-2 kit for wings), and the paint job is rough and the wing surfaces also being rough due to it being modified and the original kit being built badly, as it was one of my first models. I might repaint it someday and possibly fix the wings if skilled enough.
