MiG-15 bis (Trumpeter 1:48)
Completed cockpit and forward bulkhead.
Completed Cannon Assembly: 2 x 23mm + 37mm = B-29 Killer!
Assembled nose section loaded with 15g of additional weight. Very challenging to get this together as fit of parts was not good . . . had to cut of some of the kit alignment pins!
Completed assembly on forward fusalage and wings. Allot of filler!
Rear fusalage with base coat of Tamiya AS-12
Completed engine sub assemblys.
Completed engine sub-assembly . . . what a hassle to build and paint this. Will not install it in the fuselage because the fit tolerance is not good enough when you add the "removable" rear section.
Front equipment cover removed and engine.
You can kind of see the installed front under nose gun bay
Engine could not be installed in fusalage because either the kit manufactoring tolerances where not good enough or I'm insufficiently skilled.
Side 3/4 view, probably the best shot I've got.

Will post images as this project continues. Looking forward to challenge of engine, lots of detail and hopefully I'll do it justice.

Frustrating build has come to an end. Happy to move on to next subject!
