Yep! I see what you mean and remember it on my kit. I butted up a scalpel under the canopy rail and dragged it down over the tab, thinning the tab in the process. That way the lower edges get more flush with the rest of the fuselage. I did however, shave off a bit on the bottom side, so the canopy sits deeper.

It's coming along nicely! Did you use different national insignia after the kit ones folded up on you?

Thank you! I rummaged through my spare decal box and found some P-51 markings from another Hobbyboss kit. When I put everything away I found the Japanese kill markings on the floor and thought it would be perfect on the kit.

Good! Keep experimenting! Luckily those easy assembly kits lend themselves quite well to try new techniques or master known ones.
