First kit in a long time

Bought this kit in 2011, and carried it half way around the world with me only to actually get around to building it in August 2019.

First time building a kit since I was a kid, so it was a bit of a learning curve. The model fit was poor and the new additional parts were obvious.

The paints that came with the kit were old and sticky, so there are a lot of brush strokes.

I was pleased with my decal placement though!

I would be keen to try the new tooled version of this kit because it is such an iconic helicopter. I plan to get the new tool version in the future and do a custom paint job for Irish Coast Guard.
