Bell UH-1N "Redbird Two Two"
A bold attempt to make something out of Aeroplast

This is a proof of concept kind of project. I have bought two Aeroplast and Mistercraft (same thing) models to obtain certain decals for several other Hueys. Since they are in my stash anyway I decided to make a UH-1N out of one - to prove to myself I can actually build a model out of it.

It is being done using basing materials' scratch build and kit bashing from the remaining of other, "Western" models (Revell, Hasegawa and most notably Italeri - I sadly didn't get a hold of a Fujimi). The floor for example is scratchbuilt from cigarette pack inlay that has the closest plane pattern to UH-1 floor in 1/72.

I had no idea which machine should my model represent. I collect anything that flew/carried wounded to safety but in this case I am strongly inclined to build an unmarked helicopter from "Predator" movie, code name "Redbird Two Two".
