USS Curtis Wilbur DDG-54 by ILoveKit

I am in the final stages of completing this model. The kit contains a lot of small detail in both plastic and PE. I started the build in January 2024. The instructions are better than most but it takes some careful study and patience to get the most out of them. I found Sea Forces-Online to be an excellent reference.
Because the Curtis Wilbur is an early Arleigh Burke, I am showing it a bit weathered with different shades of gray. I have mustered about 30 crew members from Hellenic Ship Models. They were the only ones with the crew wearing caps like a modern crew would. I changed some to hard hats and used pictures from Sea Forces to reference their positioning.
I experienced some problems with the kit decals. I'm sure part of that was my fault. I painted the white lines on the forecastle and helipad and am waiting for number decals for the bow. I still have some touch up to do (as always) but she's close to completion.
