__History__
The Ford C Series was a series of medium duty trucks introduced for the 1953 model year. Initially, Ford's medium duty line was part of the Ford F-Series, but in 1953, the F-5, F-6, F-7, & F-8 were renamed the C-500, C-600, C-700, and C-800 respectively. The C Series was offered for a wide variety of purposes such as fire trucks and flatbed haulers. A range of inline 6 and V8 engines were available, as were Diesel options, with these variants differentiated by an extra '0' at the end of the name (ex: C-8000). Production of the Ford C Series lasted until 1990.
__The Model__
This model was built from the AMT Ford C-600 Stake Bed truck. I shortened the frame and added a fifth wheel. Everything else on the truck is from the kit. Only mirror frames were changed because the kit parts are too far out of scale and have an inaccurate design. The paint finish is, unbelievably, white and red primer. The dull finish was enhanced with a slight amount of buffing. The model has a very slight amount of weathering done using black washes and graphite lead. The decals are from Gofer Racing.
