My new project, a F-104G Starfighter of 323 sqn stationed at Leeuwarden air base. Back in the early eighties I spend many hours beside the runway of this air base to see this "rocket" jet....!

Defintely following Jos. Have to make one too soon. Maybe even 2 at once

This remains a cool jet, modeling trips to armor remains fun, but my preference goes to jets. I still have the Kinetic NF5 and the F16 in my stash, both of course KLU versions. I still doubt with this F104 if I make a version of the 322 sqn or one of 323, at least one of Leeuwarden! Do you have any suggestions which jet this should be, it must remain an average jet, I do not want to make a demo version like the D-8331 from Hans van der Werf in 1979.

Jos, sorry for the late response! I know what you mean with a average jet. I also dislike most of the demo airplanes. My suggestion would be a all grey QRA bird from 323/322 with a couple of Sidewinders or a camouflaged RF-104 from 306 squadron with a Orpheus pod on the centeline. At least that's what I am planing to do with my 2 one-0-fours in the stash. Suggestions for a specific serial I cannot give you but D-6666 is a very attractive serial, only that was a 311/312 bird.
