On the 19th June 1944 B17Gs 42-97942 (Heavenly Body II) and 44-6133 of 379th Bg 525th Sq 8th Air Force were returning to Kimbolton from a mission to France when they collided over the Thames Estuary.
44-6133 crashed in the sea near Allhallows, Kent.
42-97942 crashed into the sea near Canvey Island where I grew up.

This will be my effort to build a model of Heavenly Body II.
